Flying The Flag (& Flame)...
Took my British-built ex-Royal-Air-Force Bulldog T Mk1 up over Laxey, Isle of Man, today to get a bird's eye view of the Olympic torch procession as it passed through the village. Unfortunately, it was too misty to see much from 1500 feet, but later in the day I did manage to catch the air traffic control communication between the British Airways aircraft which couriered the flame to/from the island. Here are a few snippets of conversation between the Isle of Man controllers and "Speedbird 2012" as they departed the island for the torch's next stop in Northern Ireland.
